2025 Impact Report: Standing with Survivors
Dear Friends,
In 2025, one theme guided everything we did at Atlanta Victim Assistance: standing with survivors.
Standing with survivors means being present in moments of crisis and committed for the long road to recovery. It means listening first, responding with compassion, and ensuring that no one has to navigate the aftermath of crime alone. This year, AVA’s advocates stood with thousands of individuals and families across Atlanta—offering support and hope during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
The work reflected in our 2025 impact report makes one thing clear: AVA’s mission is powered by partnership. As the demand for victim services continues to grow, collaboration is not optional—it is essential. From law enforcement and hospitals to courts, schools, and community organizations, AVA’s impact is only possible because of strong, trusted relationships.
Looking ahead, standing with survivors will require even deeper collaboration. The needs we see today underscore the importance of shared responsibility and sustained investment. Partnerships will remain at the heart of our work—not only to meet immediate needs, but to help build pathways toward long-term healing and safety.
Thank you for standing with survivors. Your partnership and support make this work possible, and together, we will continue to show up when it matters most.
With Gratitude,

Shontel Brunson-Wright
